Chiropractic Research
The first specific spinal adjustment was performed by Dr. D.D. Palmer in 1895, on the upper back of a man named Harvey Lillard who had lost his hearing after a back injury. After two adjustments, the man's hearing was restored and inspired Dr. Palmer to research his discovery, name it "chiropractic" (meaning "done by hand"), and begin a legacy with the founding of Palmer College of Chiropractic which would for generations expand the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic through rigorous research, education, and successful management of tens of thousands of individuals who through specific chiropractic care, gained restored health from a wide variety of conditions from back pain and headaches to cancer and psychosis. Today, practicing doctors and research facilities are continuously mounting evidence to support a century of countless testimonials and anecdotes from healed patients.
Herein is a sampling of chiropractic research and information on the variety of conditions associated with Vertebral Subluxation.
